R FM, a subsidiary of Ranoa Holdings, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using the R FM service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our service.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information that is necessary to provide and improve our service. This includes:

  • Account information — your name and email address, collected when you create an account via Clerk
  • Billing information — your payment details are processed and stored securely by Stripe. R FM does not store credit card numbers or full payment details
  • Usage data — information about how you use the service, including mood selections, track likes, dislikes, and skips
  • Technical data — browser type, IP address, and device information collected automatically when you access the service

We do not collect sensitive information such as health data, financial account numbers, or government identifiers.

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account
  • To process subscription payments and manage billing
  • To provide and improve the music streaming service
  • To personalise and improve your music experience based on your listening preferences
  • To send account-related communications such as receipts, billing notices, and service updates
  • To respond to support enquiries
  • To comply with our legal obligations

We will not use your personal information for direct marketing without your explicit consent.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — we share necessary information with Clerk (authentication) and Stripe (payments) to deliver the service. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and applicable law
  • Legal requirements — we may disclose information where required by law, court order, or government authority
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction with appropriate notice to you

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure infrastructure provided by Cloudflare, with servers located in the United States and other regions. By using R FM, you consent to your data being processed and stored outside of Australia.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Cookies & Tracking

R FM uses essential cookies and local browser storage to maintain your session and remember your preferences (such as your last selected mood). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-party services integrated into R FM (such as Clerk and Stripe) may set their own cookies in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal obligations
  • Withdraw consent to use of your information (which may affect your ability to use the service)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy rights have been breached

Children's Privacy

R FM is a business-facing service and is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email or by displaying a notice on our website. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of this page.
